Goudeau
Naval surgeons at La Rochelle from 1667. Dr. Michel Goudeau came to French Louisiana in 1733. His descendants were post surgeons at Mobile, Illinois and Pointe Coupée, then planters at Bayou Rouge Prairie in Avoyelles Parish. Twelve generations, ending in Marksville and Lafayette.
Married into the Acadian Jeansonne family and the Moutons.

Borgen & Padrnos
Norwegian cottars from the Borgen farm at Verdal, who emigrated to Sioux Falls in 1886. Czech homesteaders from Bohemia and Moravia on the Missouri River, including Matt Petrik, the Tabor bandleader. Ivan Borgen, a NASA engineer, brought the family to Slidell.
